The Physics of Music
The following observations are specific to wind instruments (woodwind and brass). However, the same principles do apply to strings, singing (because vocal cords are a type of resonant string), and percussion (because percussion specializes on the beating of things).
Dig some of this stuff...because it's pretty neat (What can I say? Sound is exciting! Without it, the world would be a pretty quiet place!)!
