The Doctor is the main character of the British TV show Doctor Who. He is not a normal man, rather a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey who travels through space and time in his space shape known as the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space) (2). The Doctor is an impressive character in many respects. He has a sonic screw driver which allows him to open locks, take various readings and measurements, and manipulate objects. He also has a staggering intellect, which allows him to take on nearly any challenge without resorting to guns or violence. In edition, he has the ability to regenerate if injured, allowing him to, in effect, reboot himself in a new body. However, none of these feats would be either possible or useful without his ability to travel through time and space with the help of the TARDIS.
