In Alaska, planes are used for many different reasons. Travel, fun, and work are just a few of the main reasons. Each aircraft relies on physics to get in the air, and safely reach the ground again. We can look at the heat engines that produce thrust, the wing shapes and how they are designed to produced lift, and the way that planes can handle flying in lightning storms.
