The flex of a board can be resistant and stiff or can be flexible and "soft." For this particular reason, there are more builds to a snowboard.
  • Camber

These type of boards are bent inward towards the rider and create a better "pop" for jumps and have good edge control. It's contact surface is much smaller than a flat as it mainly touches on the ends.

  • Flat

Flat boards have a larger contact surface than camber and give better stability. It's ends are bent upward for a catch-free landing.

  • Rocker

This board is meant to be more loose and agile for easier turns. These are the opposite of camber boards and are bent outward.

  • Rocker/Camber

These can be made to look like a ripple effect is taking place in the sense that part of the board is meant to be "rocker" and part "camber."
