Ray Diagrams:

1. Set up the mirror or lens and object.  The mirror or lens can be represented as a straight line in most cases.


2.  Draw a line from the top of the object through the center of the mirror or lens.

3. Draw a line from the top of the object horizontal to the surface.

4. Draw a third line from the top of the object through the focal point and the mirror or lens.
This will not be shown.

5.  Where a line meets the mirror or lens, draw another line comeing from that same spot:
