Conclusions
From
the GPR, resistivity and Seismic surveys at the Washington Creek site on the
Elliot highway, the thickness of the soil layers and the subsurface condition
were determined. We conclude that there are 3 subsurface layers which results agrees
with the data and results also obtained for the resistivity and seismic
surveys. The presence of water and ice in the area din not allowed signals to
penetrate dipper into the ground so the total depth was found to be only 5m. In
general the GPR test was easy to conduct and in my opinion the data collected
is more accurate.
