Accomplishments

-----In 1668, Newton built the first reflecting telescope.

-----During his lifetime he was involved in developing calculus, and came up with the Law of Motion and of Gravitation.

-----Newton is elected Fellow of the Royal Society in 1672.

-----One of his most important works on physics-The Principia, was published in 1687.

-----Newton is elected to the Parliament for the University of Cambridge in 1689.

-----Newton became warden of the Royal Mint in 1696 and later was promoted to Master of the Mint in 1699 which he held until
             death.

-----Newton became the President of the Royal Society of London in 1703, which is another position that he held to his death.

-----Newton second most significant work, Opticks was published in 1704.

-----Newton was the first scientist to be knighted by Queen Anne in 1705.
