So here's how it all started....
A long time ago the all creatures of the universe shared all of the
dimensions. No one ever got hurt because back then there were no laws
of physics. Then one day man got tired of sliding around and sharing
all the dimensions. So they trapped all of the gnomes and took away one
of their dimensions. Forever dooming them into the 2-D world. Man
forced the gnomes to push them around and do all the work of keeping
the world in order. But since the gnomes were 2-D man couldn't see them
and soon forgot why things worked the way that they do. Eventually the
physics gnomes were free to make what ever rules they wanted because
their human task masters had forgotten about them. So they had a
convention and decided that since humans ate so much they could pull on
them and make them feel heavy and self conscious...thus gravity. By the
end of the convention all of the laws of physics were agreed upon by
the physics gnomes. Also they agreed that as part of their revenge they
wouldn't tell the humans what any of them were. They left man to figure
it out for himself...
...but the consistency of the laws is not with out an agenda. They are
waiting until man understands everything about the physical world. On
that day there will be another convention where in the physics gnomes
will completely change all of the laws of physics. That will be their
ultimate revenge. So don't get too comfortable with the way things are
because they are soon to change.
