Log Cabin

Take a stirling engine and hook it up to the stove in your cabin. On one of the wheels that spins put a hydraulic generator or a electric one. From there it could be used to power lights or small eletronic devices. The stove would provide heat and the motor for power.

Floors and Radiant Heat

The next idea would be to put radiant heat in the floors of the cabin for added heat. The electronic part of the radiant heat system could come from the power generated by the stirling engine.
