A little about Robert A. Millikan:

was born March 22, 1868 in Morrison, Ill.

He
attended Maquoketa High School (Iowa).

He
then entered Oberlin College (Ohio).

In
1893 he obtained his Masters Degree, and then in 1895 received his PhD. from
Columbia University.

He
then spent a year in Germany at the University of Berlin, and then was asked to
become an assistant at newly established Ryerson Laboratory at the University
of Chicago in 1896.

He
won the Nobel Peace Prize for Physics in 1923.
v
He
died December 19, 1953 in San Marino, California.
