Importance of Rangefinders
- Laser rangefinders are used in a
variety of fields and the importance of their
accuracy is detrimental to the task they're
being used for.
- There are many different uses
including:
- Golf - to calculate the
distance to the hole to help the player decide
what club to use
- Hunting - to help the hunter
accurately calculate the distance to the game
animal to make a safe shot
- Surveying/Engineering -
surveying the roads to get accurate elevations
to make sure the road is at grade and that the
ditches are draining properly
- Military - used to accurately
judge the distance of targets for snipers,
fighter jets, artillery, reconnaissance, ect.
- And many other uses
- Laser rangefinders are a great
tool and one of the greatest breakthroughs in
laser technology. I believe the importance of
them is unnderrated and as technology continues
to advance the possibility of laser range
finding technology is endless.
