How Does a Rangefinder Use Physics?
- Simply put, a laser rangefinder
uses the speed of light and the time it takes
for a laser beam to leave the rangefinder,
bounce of the object you're ranging, and return
to a receiver in the rangefinder to calculate
the distance of the object.
- Rangefinders or Laser Range
Modules are used in variety of settings and are
thought of as the greatest breakthrough in the
world of laser technology. They are used in
everything from the golf course, to the
military, to the use of LIDAR for measuring
distance in topographic and bathymetric systems.
