The Experiment:

Step 1: Get a 500mL (16.9 Fl oz) plastic water bottle.

Step 2: Fill the water bottle with hot water.

Step 2: Pour out the water and quickly seal the water bottle

Step 3: Set it down and in a short while you will start to see the water bottle compress.
