Light in a Gravity Lens

Looking for light in a gravity lens is extremely difficult and by far the most complicated method to discover stars, although it's been used just as often as direct imaging. The process consists of viewing a planet as it passes through a distant star and watching the light bend due to the gravity of the planet. Gravitational micro-lensing is a science in its own and is one way to discover black holes as well. Although it's difficult, it has discovered more planets than our last method.
