Taking Pictures

Taking pictures or 'direct imaging' is the most straight forward method as it really is just snapping a photograph of the planet and                            using software to better view it. It is difficult to remove the glare from the star although, it does consume the picture in most cases. This is one of the less                                                    common methods used to find planets as it isn't always easy to capture such small planets being blocked by the brightness of the stars they orbit. A                                                                         whopping 44 planets have been discovered using this method by NASA.
