The planetariums mission
is to "Track the frontier of cosmic
discovery-seek out and develop
innovative ways to bring this frontier
to the programs and activities of the
American Museum of Natural History"
The planetarium has been
open since 1935 and strives to bridge
the gap between space discovery and the
public's appreciation for science
The planetarium is
located in New York City's America Museum
of Natural History
It is able to seat 400
people, doing shows every half an hour
