The Suction

All of the previous components come together beautifully in one single housing to create a well-functioning and highly demanded at home device. To analyze the overall physics of the vacuum, one more piece must be considered: The fan blades within the vacuum.

This was left until the end as it is the most important aspect of the vacuum cleaner as an individual. The fan (consisting of tilted rotors like an airplane), rotates at high speeds generating a vacuum within the housing. It does this by forcing air forward toward the exhaust port, dropping the air pressure level behind the fan which creates a space of air that needs to be filled. Matter naturally travels towards spaces of low density, and so a vacuum is created.
