Intake Port

The intake port is quite possibly the most self-explanatory component of the vacuum. This is where the brush is housed and where dirt is initially picked up. The brush is connected to an electric motor which causes it to aggressively rotate against the carpet, stirring up any debris for the suction to pick up.

The Physics of It

The friction of the hairs on the brush cause debris to be separated from the floor while the charge of the electric current causes the brush to spin.
