Auroras on Mars

The Auroras on Mars are called Christmas Lights. There are many differences between the auroras on Earth then the ones on Mars. The first difference is that the the auroras on Mars come way closer to the equator then the ones on Earth. This is due to a much thinner atmosphere than the one that is one earth as well as there being no organized magnetic sphere on mars. Another difference is that the Christmas Lights a really close to the surface of Mars compared to the ratios of the one on Earth. The colors are unknown since the only viewing of the auroras have been through infrared cameras. But scientists theorize that it will be prominently green lights due to a Mars atmosphere being mostly CO2.
