About the Author

I, Kelly McCartney, am currently attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks and I am working toward a Bachelors in Geological Engineering. I made this website as a project for my Physics 212 class. I have played golf since my Freshman year of high school. It's a game I really enjoy, and it is a game that I can readily see the effects of physics in. That is why I decided to do the Physics of Golf as by project. I hope you learn something from this website and are inspired to play a round or two with your newfound physics of golf knowledge.

Some of my golfing accomplishments

Freshman Year:  Washington Women's League Champion, Districts qualifier.
Sophomore Year: Washington Women's League Champion, Districts 2nd
place, State 12th place.
Junior Year: Washington Women's League Champion, Districts 2nd place, State qualifier.
Senior Year: Washington Women's League Champion, Districts 2nd place, State qualifier.

-Currently I am still golfing, forever loving the game and learning more about the physics that is involved in it.
