The flight of a frisbee is much different from the flight of a ball. This site explains the physics behind the flight of a frisbee and what allows the disc to fly the way it does.

Discs are used in many sports including Ultimate Frisbee and Disc Golf. Due to the complexities of the different kind of discs used for Disc Golf, this page will be focusing on discs used for Ultimate Frisbee, however the physics are similar for most kinds of flying discs.
