Due to the amount of energy released when a particle and antiparticle meet, there have also been proposals to weaponize antimatter. antimatter bombs would have the potential to release an immense amount of energy over a very short span of time. |

Unfortunately, one of the major issues with these applications is the cost. Antimatter is the most expensive substance on the planet. Currently, it costs $62.5 trillion per gram. For us to be able to use it for the above applications, we would need to find a much more efficient and cheap method of producing it. |
