Antimatter Applications

If scientists became better at controlling antimatter, they may
be able to apply it to space propulsion systems. There are
several designs showing how an antimatter rocket could
potentially work.

Due to the amount of energy released when a particle and
antiparticle meet, there have also been proposals to weaponize
antimatter. antimatter bombs would have the potential to
release an immense amount of energy over a very short span
of time.

Unfortunately, one of the major issues with these applications
is the cost. Antimatter is the most expensive substance on the
planet. Currently, it costs $62.5 trillion per gram. For us to be
able to use it for the above applications, we would need to find
a much more efficient and cheap method of producing it.
