Properties of
Antimatter
As mentioned
before, antimatter is essentially the same as
matter, but is made of antiparticles.

"For
every particle, there is an equal and opposite
antiparticle"(minutephysics). All the properties of an anti particle are the exact same is the original particle except for an opposite charge. Atoms also add up to form molecules the same way. So just like how water is made of two hydrogen atoms and an oxygen atom, "antiwater" can be made using two antihydrogen atoms and one anti oxygen atom. |
Another
property of antimatter is that if a particle and
it's corresponding antiparticle meet, they will destroy each other. This is one of the reasons it is difficult to study antimatter. |
