What
is Antimatter?
The
Basics:
- Antimatter
has a lot in common with regular matter.
- Both
matter and antimatter are substances that have
mass, take up space, and generally consist of
subatomic particles.
- The main
difference between matter and antimatter is
that antimatter is made out of antiparticles
that correspond to the particles of ordinary
matter.
- Sub
atomically, antimatter is just a mirror image
of regular matter.
