Introduction
to ESP's :
Electronic Submersible pumps are used in the oil and
gas industry to extract oil from a well that is no
longer to flow under the formations own pressure.
ESP's are an efficient and cost effective method of
extracting oil, and extending the life of wells by
decades. An ESP is a very simple concept. A small
diameter electric pump is suspended into the well by
a large diameter electric wire. The pump is
suspended in the formation fluids and it pumps the
fluids to surface at very high rates and hot
temperatures.
