Although the Peltier cooler does provide voltage to the electric motor, it is not enough to provide adequate torque to turn a fan blade with a deep angle. Unfortunately, the size of the fan also limits the length of blade that can be fixed to it. Due in part to the short radius of rotation and shallow blade angle, the Eco fan is limited in its effectiveness. If the Eco-fan was capable of turning a larger radius with a deeper angle the fan would have a far greater range of applications. Because of these limitations, the Eco-fan is optimized in a smaller open concept single level home with a wood stove as its main heat source. The Eco-fan is a best seller in narrow enclosures where one end can be hot (by the stove), and the other end cold.
