Rally Race

In a standard rally race, each driver attempts to navigate a course, point A to B, in as little time possible. The starts are staggered, and the driver is timed. The times are added up from stage to stage (a stage is a stretch of road or a trail closed off for racing) and the team with the shortest time wins.

Co Driver

Every driver has a co-driver. The co-driver calls off pace notes, which are made by the drivers when they evaluate the stage before the race. The pace notes include information about sharpness and direction of corners, jumps, bumps, surface traction, and how much race is left.

Team

Each team of engineers, technicians, drivers, co-drivers, mechanics, and drivers is put together and arranged by a major company looking to advance their technology, and earn a good name for their product. Examples include Citroen, Hyundai Motorsport, and Volkswagen Motorsport.
