Returning Boomerang- This is the most famous boomerang that comes back to the person throwing it.  It can be used for hunting birds over water. If

3/4 Boomerang-  These boomerangs also come back to the thrower, but are used more for catch and horseplay.  This can be thrown by either a left handed or right handed person.
The returning boomerang is made specially for a lefty or righty.  The curve of the boomerang has to match the flight pattern it will fly.

Killer-  I bet you can guess what this boomerang is used for.  It is shaped like a 7 and does not come back when thrown.  It is heavy enough to split a skull.  They are used to hunt kangaroo and emu in the Australian plains.

Hunting boomerang-  This is the best boomerang for hunting.  It curves very slightly when thrown, enough to help it stay in the air long enough to cover a larger distance.  People use it to hunt emus, kangaroos and birds.
