Guitar Body

  • The body of the guitar is not very important as far as how it effects the sound of the guitar. What does change the sound is the strings which have to be made up of some type conductive material usually of metal nature.

  • Under the strings in the towards the base of the guitar is where the pickups lay. Pickups are what "pick up" the vibrations in the strings and transmit the sound waves to the amp. This is discussed further on the next page.

  • The input is where a cord can connect the guitar to an amplifying device.
