                  What is a Tesla Coil?

A Tesla Coil is an apparatus
designed by the inventor Nikolai Tesla to
wirelessly transmit electricity. Tesla wanted to
power the world. He was interested in wireless
technology, creating perhaps the first radio
                      controlled boat in 1898. (Turi,
2020) Tesla envisioned a world of wireless
electricity long before wired electricity was
                      common.

Simply put, a Tesla Coil is a device capable of
wireless transmission of electricity through air.
It essentially a scaled up transformer with a
capacitor outputting electricity at a high enough
voltage to ionize air to the point of
                      conductivity.
