The last thing you do at an airport is to get on the plane. When the plane takes off it uses the Bernoulli principle to be able to take off. The plane must have more lift force than drag force to take off. We can also use Newton’s first law, when a plane is flying in the air and we are ignoring air resistance in our equations. We can say that as we increase the thrust, we accelerate the aircraft but the drag also increases as the faster we go. If the drag and the thrust are equal then the aircraft holds a higher or lower airspeed.
