Misconceptions
_______________________________________
- Some different ways that people
mistakenly think Centrifugal force is real.
- 1) Some people know that there's
no such thing as centrifugal force. but think
Centripetal force is called "centrifugal."
- 2) People think mistakenly
think that reactionary centrifugal force extends
to apply on the rotating object.
- 3) When an object moving along
a circular path is taken as moving along a
straight line, then it's momentum feels like
an outward force, for example when taking a
sharp turn in a car. Since many people have
experienced this without fully considering
what's happening, this leads to many people to
have mistaken ideas about centrifugal and
centripetal forces.
