Centrifugal Force
________________________________________
- What is a centripetal force?
- A centripetal
force is a force that supposedly acts on a
rotating or revolving object with a direction
exactly outward from the center of rotation.
- Do Centrifugal forces exist?
- There is also something called the reactive
centrifugal force. This is the force on the center
point caused by the revolving object. This is very
different from what most people think of as the
centrifugal force, as is doesn't act on the
revolving object. Rather, it is the result of the
fact that for every action there is an equal and
opposite reaction.
