Aurora's on other planets

  • Although it is the most well known, Earth is not the only planet that forms auroras from the interaction between its magnetic field and the suns solar winds. Other planets in our solar system such as Jupiter also forms auroras in much the same way as our planet. In fact, auroras form on nearly every other planet in our solar system. the only planet to never have an observed aurora is Mercury. They even occur on some of Jupiters moons such as Io, and Europa.
