When giving or receiving an IV, there are a few things that happen during the course of treatment that one most likely wouldn't think about:

-Why does the IV bag hang up above the site of injection?
-If the IV bag is lowered, by does blood from my vein flow into the tubing?
-When giving blood, why do they put the receiving back so close to the floor below me?

You most likely know the answers to all of these questions. Intuitively. Take a moment to think about it....

Have you thought about it? You didn't realize you were using physics, did you?
