Of the Auroras



In order to understand the physics behind the phenomena, we must first understand the origins of where they begin.  The aurora that we see in the night sky, actually originates millions of miles away in the sun.  It starts in the core of the sun, where immense energy is produced by nuclear fusion.  The Wall Street Journal video below does a great job of illustrating the origin and formation of what comes to be an aurora in the night sky.  Check it out
