Applications
"Really, we can speak only through our paintings."
- Vincent Van Gogh
There
are many applications of drawing in physics.
Not only is drawing one of the best tools for
the brain when it comes to understanding a
concept, but drawing also is a way of
communication that requires very little verbal
communication. Therefore, drawing is a key
part in understanding the world of science.
A very commonly used
application of drawing used in physics and
engineering is the free-body diagram or the
force diagram. A free body diagram is a system
depicted as an image. The main purpose of a
free body diagram is to simplify the system to
display the forces acting upon it, and
therefore is an extremely handy tool when
computing said forces.
