The monsoon has significant positive and negative impact on south Asian climate as well as human society.  Hence, it is essential to study south Asian monsoon and different key processes that influence the monsoon especially summer monsoon. In this study, impact of different key processes (Rising CO2 levels, Eurasian snow cover, land-sea temperature contrast, soil moisture, presence of mountains and ENSO) on monsoon precipitation are described.
