We had breakfast at the hotel morning. The meal was very good and this morning we got to taste the fresh bread that they baked in the hotel. We checked out of the hotel at 10AM and Uma went to the shop in front of the the hotel to buy the famous geyser bread. We then got gas at the Esso and bought David a bun for lunch. We also learned that the car wash stalls outside of gas stations are free. This is a very nice service provided by the gas station. David rinced off our car so we would not get dusty when we got in.
This was a pleasant walk on trails that was landscaped in places. We walked through young birch forests and had a good view on the lake, which was full of birds.

We then drove south to Skutustathir and took a walk in the pseudocraters. They were formed when hot molten lava flows into wetlands and the water steams.

We exited the trail a bit down route 1 from where we entered. So we walked a few tenths of a kilometer down the main road. Along the way we photographed the angelica.
Back to the car!
The famous Geyser Bread. It contained rye and wheat flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. It was really good with butter and cheese!

We arrived at the Foss Hotel at 5:30PM. Our booking was not there and they are booked tomorrow night. It seems that we may have to move to another place tomorrow night, UGH! We booked our whale tour for tomorrow and we looked for a place to eat. The two restaurants in town were booked for this evening so we ate at our hotel. The food was very good. Then we came up to our room to do paper work.
We have a lovely view from our hotel room of the hill covered in lupines!
