David tries to drill a hole for 3+ hours in frozen soil using an auger, hot water, and a shovel. The ground was like concrete. The hole was about 4" so not deep enough for the dog tie out shown on the right. Augers are not usually rented after early October. Guess there is a reason! It was about -25F today!

New Years Eve walk on the Tanana River.
The dogs got a good work out and lots of treats on this three hour walk. The beautiful blues and pinks were evident in the sky after sunset.
