While there are some direct flights into Fairbanks from Seattle (Alaska Airline), Chicago (Alaska Airline) and Minneapolis (Northwest Airline - seasonal) most of the flights come through Anchorage. Therefore one possible routing is to fly to Anchorage and then travel on to Fairbanks. |

Train There is daily train service run by the Alaska RailRoad once a day from Anchorage to Fairbanks. The route cuts through the Alaska range. A bit more than half way through the trip the train stops in Denali National Park. The total trip takes approximately 12 hours and is very scenic if the weather is good. |
