Table of Contents General routing Airlines Train Bus Car rental	General Routing While there are some direct flights into Fairbanks from Seattle (Alaska Airline), Chicago (Alaska Airline) and Minneapolis (Northwest Airline - seasonal) most of the flights come through Anchorage. Therefore one possible routing is to fly to Anchorage and then travel on to Fairbanks.
	Airlines Fairbanks is served by Alaska Airlines, Delta Airlines and Northwest Airlines. Alaska Airlines has about 9 flights daily into Fairbanks (most through Anchorage). Direct flights from Europe:  An Airline called Condor Airline ( A Lufthansa subsidiary) runs flights from Frankfurt to Anchorage and Fairbanks in the summer. I am not sure what their definition of summer is so if you are interested please check with them.
	Train There is daily train service run by the Alaska RailRoad once a day from Anchorage to Fairbanks. The route cuts through the Alaska range. A bit more than half way through the trip the train stops in Denali National Park. The total trip takes approximately 12 hours and is very scenic if the weather is good. back to top

	Car Rental There are a number of car rental agencies available in Fairbanks. At the Fairbanks International Airport , Arctic Rent a Car, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz , and Payless are all available. In town, National and other rental agencies are available. A car might be convenient, particularly if shared. Back to top
