The Cantenna is a Do-it-yourself directional waveguide antenna often used to boost the range of WIFI network cards. Often they are made out of a Pringles or coffee can, which is where the name Cantenna originated -- a portmanteau of can and antenna. These antenna's are often the first ones built by people learning about antenna theory as they are cheap and easily constructed.
