Greens
Education
Green had one year of scholling at the age of eight
before going to work at his fathers mill. No formal education is
recorded between the age of eight and whene he publised his first and
most influential paper in 1828. It is remarkeble that Green was able to
generate such a powerful theory without any giadence or assistance from
other people working in mathematics. Green did have acess to a few
papers of Laplace and Coulomb, but he had no corespondence with any of
these people untill after his paper was published. Several years after
Green publised his paper he enrolled in Gonville and Caius College in
Caimbrige. In 1837 he became a fellow of the College, unfortunatly he
died in 1841 after spending almost a year being ill.
