The Coriolis force

The existance of the Coriolis force Fc can most easily be verified by the following experiment:
Imagine a disk which rotates with angular velocity w (see figure above). A mass m which moves with velocity v from the center to the rim suffers a side deflection from the action of the Coriolis force FGo to formula, which acts perpendicular to the direction of movement. This force however is only felt and the deflection is only seen by an observer rotating with the disk.
