Type 1: Steam-Driven
Water is forced through the
espresso grind by steam or steam pressure.
A common broiler has four heads with pipes running to them. This allowed four different types of
espresso to be brewed at one time. The
“Fast Coffee Machine” was steam-driven .
These are also the type of machines that are sold in combination with
drip coffee machines.
