Armadillo Run is a puzzle game where the goal of each level is to guide a rolled-up armadillo into a blue circular area and keep it there for a few seconds. Each level provides connection points and sometimes other features but it is up to the player to use materials (within a budget) to construct a method of passage. The materials available include rope, cloth, metal bars, metal sheets, elastic, rubber, and rockets. Some materials are best for structural support while others are better for imparting movement directly to the armadillo.

The challenge of the game lies in the placement of the contact points and the budget, because materials must be connected to a permanent contact point or that of another material. If too much money is spent on the expensive materials (especially rockets) the player fails the challenge.

Armadillo Run was featured in a video about improving brain power by playing video games in October 2007. A free demo is available on the official site.
