The New Wave with Planck

Just as electrons are limited to discrete quanta, photons are limited to
wave lengths and frequencies as was described in our first equation during the
“light” review.


Planck’s number, h, or 6.626 x 10^-34 Js, relates the frequency of a light wave
to the amount of energy it carries in the following equation:

E = hv
