Solar Energy

Some facts about solar energy: http://www.engr.udayton.edu/faculty/jkissock/http/Mee302/solarproj/Solar_Facts.html

The average amount of Sunlight falling on the ground depends on the average atmosphereic condition and the latitude of a specific location. This can be seen on the following map of the US showing the average solar radiation falling on a horizontal surface in the month of June.
The red, orange, and yellow areas of the map are areas of higher solar intensity, while the green and blue areas are of lower intensity. Units are in kWh/mē.
