The game is called Table Tennis for
a reason, it takes place on a hard table that is divided in the middle
by a net.

Players hit the ball, allowing none
or one bounce on their side of the
table, returning it so that it bounces on the opposite side to the
opposing player.

Points are scored if and when a
player fails to return the ball to the
opposing team within the rules.
The rate of play is
fast and requires one to have
quick reactions.
When a player develops
the necessary skills, they
can impart several varieties of spin to the ball. This includes
altering its trajectory and preventing an opponent's options.
