Sinking
At first glance the simple fact of the Titanic
sinking was manly just because of an iceberg that
ruptured the hull. However, there are many facts that
showed multiple things had to go wrong for this
massive 50,000 ton ship to sink. First there is the
variable of the climate. In the area of Labrador
current and Gulf stream icebergs were forming rapidly
because of the unusually warming of the water and was
concentrated right in the very path of the ship. The
icebergs also had came down rapidly from Greenland
because of very close proximity of the Earth and moon
in 1912 which made the tides unusually big. In fact
the moon and the earth had only came this close in the
past 1,400 years before. Then the iceberg came into
contact with the ship in which the steel hull held
together but had broken apart because of the weak iron
rivets that had been used in this part of the ship. If
the builders of the ship had used all steel rivets
then this scenario would have never happened. But wait
there is still more.
